Product Development Project Manager, Fashion and Apparel
About Us
Vestechpro is a college-based technology transfer center (CCTT) specializing in apparel, affiliated with Cégep Marie-Victorin. Since 2011, we have been supporting companies and organizations in the industry with their development and innovation projects through technical assistance, training, information dissemination, and applied research. Our close-knit team brings together experts from a variety of disciplines.
Your Role
Reporting to the Director of Strategic Projects, Innovation, and Development, you will carry out product development and training projects for our clients, from concept to market-ready product.
Specifically, you will:
- Design products and collections: trend research, design, presentation boards;
- Propose creative and innovative solutions to improve existing products, methods, or processes;
- Produce technical drawings and technical specifications (tech packs);
- Conduct fittings, adjustments, and quality control;
- Recommend size charts tailored to target customer segments;
- Support the director in organizing and monitoring projects with clients and the team, and draft reports;
- Present your proposals to clients and at events;
- Design and lead training sessions related to your area of expertise;
- Supervise interns and assist your colleagues as needed.
Your Profile
You have:
- a DEC in fashion design or equivalent training;
- at least six years of industry experience covering all stages of product development;
- excellent proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and the Office suite;
- excellent proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written.
You'll stand out if you have:
- experience supervising a team;
- experience in 2D patternmaking or 3D modeling;
- worked in an innovation or research center;
- integrated artificial intelligence tools into your practice.
You are creative, detail-oriented, and self-reliant. You have a strong grasp of garment construction and project management, can handle multiple projects at once, communicate effectively, and are interested in sustainable fashion.

- 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with working hours between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.; option to work a 4.5-day week year-round (Monday morning through Friday noon),
