Annual General Meeting 2024

On October 24, 2024, the members of the Board of Directors of Vestechpro, several of its partners and its team were gathered at the Cégep Marie-Victorin for the Centre’s Annual General Meeting!

This year, Vestechpro had chosen to highlight the impact of its activities, whether they were projects related to the circular economy, through several panels and speeches, digital fashion, supra-recycling or the mobilization of the student community in Quebec.

The Centre was honoured to share the testimonies of :

• Eric St-Arnaud, General Manager at Renaissance, who was present to discuss with Paulette Kaci, General Manager at Vestechpro, the role and impact of research and development and social economy on the circularity of the textile and clothing sector.
• Nicolat Pajot, Founder and President of Studios Ultracine, through a video about the support he and his team received in the design of a video game focused on fashion.
• Claudine Hug, Senior Designer, Penningtons division, Reitmans Canada Limited, through a video on the training she took with the Vestechpro team on digital fashion and 3D design.
• Laurence Ouellette, fashion design student at Cégep Marie-Victorin and winner of the Cirque du Soleil Competition, presented during a discussion, hosted by Juliette Fournier-Brisebois, Project Manager at Vestechpro, the positive impact of participation in the competition on his academic and professional career.
• Nicolle Palacio, UQAM’s ESM-ESG fashion management and design student who participated in the 2024 edition of the Summer School, presented her experience of the activity and the knowledge acquired during the two weeks of the Summer School in video format.
