Vestechpro 2025 General Assembly - Fashion in Transition

On November 5, 2025, more than fifty people gathered at the Silvi-Chapados Fashion Show at Cégep Marie-Victorin for Vestechpro's Annual General Meeting.

Board members, clients, partners, teachers, students, and members of the Centre's team gathered to take stock of a year rich in projects and collaborations.

An inspiring panel discussion on the theme of “Fashion in Transition” provided a range of perspectives on the issues and challenges facing the industry, with:

  • Marie Saint-Pierre, founder of Maison Marie Saint-Pierre
  • Karen Tagliani, Vice President of Design at Groupe Lamour
  • Paulette Kaci, Executive Director of Vestechpro

This panel was moderated by Madeleine Goubau, Ph.D., a doctor of communications specializing in fashion and clothing, lecturer at ESM-UQAM, and fashion columnist.

The speed of change in the industry, issues related to social and environmental impacts, the disappearance of expertise, the role of artificial intelligence, and the need for ongoing training and skilled labor were among the topics discussed during this fascinating exchange.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to Marie Saint Pierre and Karen Tagliani for their generous testimonials, and to Madeleine Goubau for her masterful moderation of the panel discussion.

Vestechpro would also like to congratulate Yan Drapeau, teacher in the Fashion Design Department at Cégep Marie-Victorin, and Mélissa Bolduc, founder of Melow, on their appointment to its board of directors, and to warmly thank Katherine Gervais, teacher in the Fashion Marketing Department at Cégep Marie-Victorin, and Nicolas Pajot, President and founder of UltraCiné, whose terms have ended, for their valuable contributions to the board.

Finally, a big thank you to everyone who attended the event, as well as to our team, partners, and customers for their continued trust and commitment to innovation in the fashion and apparel industry.
