Vestechpro, the Center for Research and Innovation in Apparel, invites you to its 2026 Summer School! Join us for six days during which we’ll…
On the 1st and 2nd of February 2019, Vestechpro supported the next generation as part of the fashion and business academic competition Ouverture sur l'Industrie organized by Fashion Spectrum and presented at HEC Montréal.
The event brought together the four Montreal universities in a competition to solve commercial problems raised by five major fashion companies here, that is, La Vie en rose, Maison Birks, Mackage, Lolë and Gorskie. Dynamic student teams from HEC Montréal, the School of Management Sciences and the École Supérieure de Mode (ESG UQÀM), the John Molson School of Business (Concordia), and the Faculty of Management Desautels (McGill) enthusiastically took to the game and developed, in just a few hours, creative solutions to meet the mandates entrusted by the participating companies. It was a great opportunity for Vestechpro to support the next generation and to participate in the technological development of Montreal's fashion apparel ecosystem.

In addition, some teams benefited from Vestechpro's expertise in term of apparel marketing. Indeed, the Research and Innovation Center intervened by providing information capsules on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. The commercialization of this technology is among the most promising in terms of enhancing the customer experience at the point of sale as it facilitates data mining and optimizes customer service.
Vestechpro welcomes the initiative of the organizers and sponsors of the first edition of Fashion Spectrum Montréal mode et affaires.
