  • On April 7, the Public Health Agency of Canada stated that "the use of a non-medical mask or facial covering can be an additional measure you can take to protect others around you ".   • COVID-19 is a respiratory infection transmitted by droplets of liquid from the respiratory system. It can be transmitted by an asymptomatic or presymptomatic person. N95 masks and surgical or procedural masks are the only masks that offer proper protection against the infection, however, they are intended for health care personnel use. Therefore, many people choose to wear non-medical masks.
