Inclusivity, Sustainability, and Digital Technology: A Look Back at the 2026 Summer School

The Vestechpro Summer School returned in June 2026 for its fifth edition, focusing on the themes of inclusivity, sustainability, and the role of digital technology in fashion and apparel.

 

The program aimed to raise students’ awareness of a culture of inclusivity and diversity, introduce them to the circular economy model and its strategies, and help them discover responsible uses of technology and digital tools in the fashion industry.

 

Over the course of six days of training, the cohort:

  • Attended nearly fifteen in-class lectures on various topics delivered by expert speakers,
  • Participated in hands-on learning exercises to apply the knowledge they acquired (workshops on body scanning, custom 3D design using personalized avatars, experimentation with various artificial intelligence tools, group exercises and discussions on the application of eco-design in product development and the challenges associated with textile recycling, etc.),
  • Explored Vestechpro’s laboratories to discover and experiment with various specialized pieces of equipment,
  • Visited and engaged with six companies committed to inclusivity, sustainability, and the responsible use of technology and digital solutions.
