Lancement du Concours Cirque du Soleil x Vestechpro x École de mode du Cégep Marie-Victorin

On November 29, 2023, at the Silvi-Chapados Salon Mode at Cégep Marie-Victorin, was the officially launching of the Cirque du Soleil "Invoke, Provoke, Evoke" Competition, co-created by Cirque du Soleil (l'Atelier, Centre d'expertises: costumes, make-up and accessories), Vestechpro,  and Cégep Marie-Victorin's School of Fashion.

 

The challenge invites second- and third-year students in the Fashion Design program of Cégep Marie-Victorin to apply supra-recycling to the reclamation of end-of-life Cirque du Soleil fabrics and/or costumes.

 

Supra-recycling refers to a process whereby a residual material undergoes transformations to become a value-added product.

 

The newcomers will be able to put their creativity to good use, as well as the skills they developed during their college studies and through mentoring activities with Cirque du Soleil and Vestechpro teams. These mentors will be on hand to support students in creating and crafting inspiring stage costumes!
