Paying tribute to Helen Brunet: Two student scholarships awarded at the Gala mode of Cégep Marie-Victorin Fashion

It was with great emotion that two Helen Brunet "Excellence and Innovation" scholarships were awarded at the Cégep Marie-Victorin Foundation's Gala mode on May 17, 2023.

Marc Robin, the partner of Helen Brunet, who passed away in November 2022, and Marc Brunet, Helen's brother, accompanied by Paulette Kaci, General Manager of Vestechpro (the Centre de recherche et d'innovation en habillement affiliated with the Cégep), presented these grants to two Cégep Marie-Victorin students: Alicia Hudon (Fashion Marketing) and Marielle Chidiac (Fashion Design), who distinguished themselves through their involvement, creativity, academic performance and perseverance.

A moving tribute to Helen Brunet, who taught at Cégep Marie-Victorin for several years and who, since 2018, has held the position of Director of Strategic Development and Operations at Vestechpro.

Through her teaching and her work for the apparel industry, Helen will have passed on to new generations her love of tradition and her passion for innovation, her own way of contributing to a better world. Her generosity, her interests in art, fashion and travel, and her great sense of humor left a lasting impression on her colleagues and all those around her.
