Summer School: Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Fashion and Clothing

Ethics, Impacts, and Uses

Vestechpro, the Apparel Research and Innovation Center, is partnering with CIMMI, the Center for Digital Imaging and Interactive Media, to offer you a 2025 Summer School focused on AI! Join us for six days during which we will demystify AI and explore the conditions for its responsible use in fashion and apparel.

 

Why?  

  • ​Learn the fundamental principles of AI and the challenges it raises,
  • Understand the opportunities AI offers for fashion and apparel,

  • Understand how to use AI tools for fashion and apparel with a critical eye.

     

On the agenda: conferences, meetings and discussions with industry players and experts, practical workshops for reflection and experimentation with software, and much more!

 

What topics will be covered and how?

  • ​History and fundamentals of AI
  • Ethics of AI
  • Impacts and challenges of AI
  • ​Opportunities offered by AI for the fashion-apparel value chain and its limitations
  • Application cases and practical workshops on AI for:
    • Product design and development
    • Commercialization (sales and marketing)

Who is it for?

This is for you if you: 

  • Are a college or university student
  • ​Are studying fashion, whether in a design, marketing, or production management program
  • ​Have a keen interest in digital and new technologies

 

Where, when, and how much?

  • ​Location: Cégep Marie-Victorin and other locations in Montreal
  • ​Dates: June 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, and 11, 2025
  • Hours: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
    (du lundi au mercredi pendant deux semaines)
  • Price: $120 per person
    (plus taxes)
