Through the NovaScience program implemented by the ministère de l’Économie, de la Science et de l’Innovation, Vestechpro received a grant in March 2017 to offer a summer school for students on the subject of clothing technologies.
The school will be open to female college students with a profile related to at least one of the following disciplines: fashion design, fashion marketing, electronics and computer science.
The overall objective is to instill a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among women, especially in science and technology. The clothing industry, which is very traditional, is predominantly female, unlike the technological circles. Thus, the discipline of garment technologies represents an opportunity to be seized for women who wish to make a career in an environment combining technology and creativity.
The camp will run from June 4 to 29, 2018, for a duration of 4 weeks. Numerous activities will be offered to provide an enriching and fascinating experience.
Vestechpro wishes to thank its partners, without whom the realization of this project would not have been possible. More specifically, Vestechpro thanks the ministère de l’Économie, de la Science et de l’Innovation, its main financial partner, as well as Hexoskin and Marie-Victorin College. Other partners are expected to officially join the project shortly.
In order to carry out the various activities, many speakers will be invited: speakers, companies and partners. If you are interested in contributing or have any questions regarding this project, please contact Anaïs Scussel, Project Manager.
