Vestechpro takes part in the 2nd edition of Cégep Marie-Victorin's research certification program
The week of January 20, 2025 marked the start of the second edition of Cégep Marie-Victorin's research certification program, orchestrated by Tanka Gagné Tremblay, Pedagogical Advisor, and Mélanie Fontaine, Deputy Director of the Cégep's Institutional Development, Innovation and Research Department!
Vestechpro is pleased to contribute to it.
This certification is offered to all Cégep Marie-Victorin students wishing to develop their research skills, work in a research group, acquire additional knowledge or explore potential professional fields in research environments.
The program is part of an institutional initiative aimed at strengthening academic and professional commitment, and will give the eleven students enrolled in 2025 an introduction to research.
Vestechpro got involved to offer the group participating in the certification several activities:
- A presentation of our Center and our research-applied fields by Juliette Fournier-Brisebois, a tour of our infrastructures and exchange meetings with Audrey Coulombe and Raphaël Kerriou who work on research projects at Vestechpro.
- A three-hour workshop entitled “Behind the scenes in research: decoding, collecting and analyzing to understand” given by Leyla Lardja, our Research and Innovation Manager. This workshop introduced the group to documentary research, data collection techniques and data analysis. It elicited many reactions from the students to the topics covered, making for a dynamic and rich exchange!
Vestechpro is proud to be involved in raising the student community's awareness of the role of research and what goes on behind the scenes.
