Vestechpro, apparel research and innovation center, held its 10th general assembly on line, on October 28th. The get-together was an opportunity to highlight Vestechpro’s accelerated and significant progress as well as its excellent financial results.
Cégep Marie-Victorin’s General director and President of the Board of Directors of Vestechpro, Mr. Sylvain Mandeville, also applauded the proactivity and reactivity of the center and its Executive director, Mrs. Paulette Kaci, who led a major mobilizing effort within the apparel and textile ecosystem during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite a year marked with a severe health and economic crisis, Vestechpro was able to seize opportunities and actively contribute to meet the needs for personal protective equipment within both the health sector and the community.
Among the other 2019 – 2020 highlights, we would like to underline:
The assembly elected, two new directors to join Vestechpro’s board of directors, Ms. Neila Mezghani, professor-researcher at TÉLUQ, and Mr. Daniel Poirier, director of operations at Kanuk. The mandate of Louis Arsenault, Director of Human Resources at Peerless Clothing has been renewed. We would like to warmly thank the outgoing directors for their contribution to the development of Vestechpro during their mandate, namely Ms. Nancie Samuel (L'Aubainerie) and Ms. Aïcha Thory (Arty Law).
Proud of this past year accomplishments, it is with great enthusiasm that the Vestechpro team has begun its 10th year of existence. A year that will conclude with a program of activities specially designed to mark a decade of collaboration, fruitful exchanges and innovative achievements. Long live Vestechpro!
