3D design training: revisit fashion and clothing design

This training will enable professionals in the fashion and clothing sector to familiarize themselves with digital technologies, particularly CLO software, which facilitates the digital creation of clothing.

  • To save time during the design process by using 3D simulations of the garments created, thereby reducing the number of prototypes produced.

 

Skills developed

 

At the end of this training, learners will be able to:
 

  • Understand the garment development process using CLO software;
  • Develop a digital clothing product.

 

Program

 

  • Presentation of the CLO software interface,
  • Introduction to 2D functions,
  • Introduction to 3D simulation,
  • Introduction to 3D functions
  • Advanced 2D and 3D functions: Modular templates, 3D drawing, and automatic grading.
  • Visual and physical properties of textiles.
  • Preparation for rendering—finishes and treatments.
  • Rendering and animation.
  • Creative exercise.

 

Eligibility requirements
Training in one of the following programs:

  • Fashion design;
  • Advanced clothing techniques.

Since CLO software integrates pattern drafting into its 2D window, participants must have prior knowledge and skills in pattern drafting.

 

Duration: 30 hours

Cost:
CSMO Textile member: $120
Non-CSMO Textile member: $150
Reimbursed salary: $25/hour
Salary funding: 50%
